Dallas Cowboys is an American football team from Texas. They are part of the National Football League. In it, they occupy one of the weaker spots. Moreover, they aren’t well-liked in their home region, and many consider them an underdog team with few fortunate prospects.
Who owns Dallas Cowboys? Jerry Jones is a sole owner of the team. This alone has earned him billions of dollars.
History Logo
The team was introduced in 1960 in Dallas, one of the largest cities in Texas. There have been teams in this city prior to that, although Cowboys are by far the most successful. The name is obviously derived from the state’s own cultivated image of a Wild West state, referring to the prior history.
1960 – 1964
The initial logo was a simple dark blue star. The shape is taken from the Texan flag (also known as ‘Lone Star Flag’). The color is likely taken from both their own colors, and the colors of the US flag.
1964 – today
A few years in, they slightly altered it by adding thin white lining along the edges of the star. It was like done to add more colors from the flag, as well as to create a unique image, seeing how single stars like the one from 1960 were used nigh everywhere.
Helmet History
Originally, their helmets were almost completely white, save for the twin blue stripes running along the middle, with some white between them. Later, they supplanted outer white parts with grey. This design stayed almost unchanged, except for a brief period in 1974 when one of the stripes was red.
Uniform History
The uniforms of the club were primarily white or blue, with frequent changes as to which one is dominant. Currently, they use both combinations for home (mostly white) and away (mostly blue). By far the most preferred one is the former mix, but there were many variations of blue or turquoise.
